Over 300 million people world wide suffer from colorblindness in silence. For children suffering from colorblindness, color mix ups when drawing with their friends can leave a lasting negative impact on their relationship with art.

The Color Collective: Hues for You by Crayola has made a vow to end the negative interactions with art.

When labels inevitability rip off of crayons or crayons break in half, colorblind individuals have no way to distinguish the main color groups like green and brown or red and purple, etc, from one another. To combat this, Crayola will release crayons with shapes unique to each color group, making it possible for those with colorblind to color without worry.

Crayola will also create packaging that is colorblind friendly. By using Coloring for Colorblindness's recommended color palettes and swapping out the commonly unseen color green in Crayola's branding for blue, colorblind individuals can finally see Crayola's packaging the same way those with full color vision do.
